TCP Fast Open is a new feature of Microsoft Edge that speeds up the web browser’s page loading time by over 10% on average, and in some cases up to 40%. TCP Fast Open is an extension of the TCP protocol that enables data exchange during TCP’s initial handshake. Currently, the feature is only available in preview versions of Microsoft Edge available on Fast and Slow Ring Insider Builds. However, it seems likely that Microsoft will make available the feature in next month’s Anniversary Update for Windows 10....

For those unaware, DDoSecrets, a hacktivist group that is often described as an alternative to WikiLeaks, had leaked nearly 269GB of data trove called ‘BlueLeaks’ last week, which belonged to more than 200 U.S. police departments, fusion centers, and other law enforcement training and support resources. The data trove contained “highly sensitive information such as ACH routing numbers, international bank account numbers (IBANs), and other financial data as well as personally identifiable information (PII) and images of suspects listed in Requests for Information (RFIs) and other law enforcement and government agency reports,” according to the security blog KrebsOnSecurity....

The Reddit user (u/ntelas46) has discovered a flaw in the hidden system settings of the Xiaomi Mi 9T that allows you to view what the micro-camera of the optical fingerprint scanner captures. Xiaomi uses in-display fingerprint scanners in many of its mid-range and high-end smartphones. To support his claim, the user posted a video demonstrating this “feature” on the Reddit forum. As seen in the video, the Reddit user can be seen accessing the imaging feed from the Goodix-made optical in-display fingerprint scanner of his Xiaomi Mi 9T user after installing the Activity Launcher app, as per a report by Android Authority....
